Women Gather To Summon Ogun (the god of iron) Against The Perpetrators

On Tuesday, a group of women from Ondo State assembled in Owo town to invoke curses on the perpetrators of the massacre of parishioners at St. Francis Catholic Church on Sunday.

Recall that some unknown gunmen on Sunday attacked the church, killing no fewer than 22 persons and injuring at least 19 others.

The women claimed they were calling on the land’s ancestral spirit to rise up and fight the killers and avenge the victims’ deaths.

They met in the center of town and made a circle around various things, hoping to see the face of the gods who would punish the terrorists.

One of the women, said, “Our ancestors will answer our prayers and those people will regret ever coming to Owo”

In the video, the women were seen carrying cutlasses, leaves, and herbal mixtures and making incantations and chanting the gods name to take immediate action amid wailing.

Renowned religious leader and clergyman, Pope Francis, has reacted to the massacre that occurred in Nigeria and has thrown the country into a state of mourning.

Reacting to the barbaric and condemnable incident, Pope Francis who took to his official Twitter page said he is deeply saddened to learn of the horrific attack at church and urged all to pray for all those affected by this act of unspeakable violence and for the conversion of those blinded by hatred and violence
