The lawyer and friend of Nigerian artist Davido, Bobo Ajudua has given his opinion after Wizkid’s double loss at the Grammys.
In November 2021, Wizkid bagged two nominations for the 2022 Grammys award which was held online in Los Angeles.

Wizkid was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance alongside other African superstars, including Femi Kuti, Burna Boy, Terms, and Angelique Kidjo. However, legendary African musician, Angelique Kidjo has been named the winner of the category.
This new development has caused chaos on social media. While some are of the opinion that Wizkid’s “Essence” deserved to be awarded.
One of the people who have complained about Wizkid’s loss of the award is the lawyer of Davido, Bobo. According to him, Wizkid’s track “Essence” was the world’s anthem and deserved the award.
He tweeted, “I don’t know much and don’t speak much on these things, but we ALL KNOW that award belonged to ‘Essence’. They gave the world an ANTHEM.”
