Nigerian actress, Halima Abubakar has chided her colleague celebrities over their post about the death of the son of Davido, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Davido lost his son, according to a report that surfaced on Monday 31st October 2022. It was reported that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool within his father’s compound at Banana Island.

The incident happened when the deceased’s parents had traveled to Ibadan for a family gathering. Ifeanyi was then rushed to the Evercare Hospital in Lekki for medical attention but unfortunately passed away.

Despite the doubtful nature of the rumors spreading online, some of his ardent admirers expressed their sorrow at the claimed tragedy on their social media accounts.

In response to allegations that he failed to keep an eye on his son while he was swimming, his father Davido reportedly detained every staff in his house. However, six of them have been released as the deceased’s cook and nanny have been detained for further investigations.

Some Nigerian celebrities also took to their platform to react to the sad incident and also console the bereaved family. Some shared photos of the young boy and his father while penning down their tender farewell to the youngster.

In reaction to that, Hamila Abubakar has rebuked her colleagues for sharing photos of the boy after his death but never shared photos of him when he celebrated his birthday, three days before he passed on.

She further lamented that people are quick to celebrate bad news but are reluctant to give the same reaction when there is a good news.
