Award-winning Ghanaian singer-songwriter Jackeline Acheampong better known as Gyakie returns from hiatus with a new single.

Titled ‘Something,’ Gyakie releases her first single of 2022 in grandeur as she makes way for her debut long-length project dropping later in the year.

Nigerian music producer and singer, Yung Willis has announced the establishment of his new record company Royal Music Records. The adept beatmaker debuted a new tune called Givin Dem shortly after the label’s inception.

‘Givin Dem,’ produced by Yung Willis, features veteran vocalist Timaya and popular comedic group Kabusa Oriental Choir. The song exemplifies the fantastic work that the young beatmaker has been doing in the music industry.

As a nod to the different emotional and musical phases she navigated to bring the album to life, Moonchild Sanelly’s Phases is a smorgasbord of genres and experiences from an artist who now bills herself as “a global act who so happens to be from South Africa”. After starving his fans for a long time, the music gem serves a one drop record he titles “Atia”. The song is a classic live produced Reggae song for lovers.

Parading himself as a serenader, he swoons an imaginary lover he calls ‘Atia’ in the song, with sweet and catchy melodies. Epixode rides softly with sparsely composed lyrics in popular Ghanaian languages Twi, Ga, with bits of English and Jamaican lingo, Patois — the Twi is more visible in the song — a ploy he used to relate to his immediate audience. The song was finely crafted to make performance quite intimate; coupled with the energy and flair Epixode exudes on stage, this song is poised to be one of his hit singles and timeless records.

Produced by Gomez Beatx, the Reggae song typifies African origins with infused indigenous sounds that highlight it as a record from West Africa, especially Ghana.

Epixode after winning “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste Of The Year” in 2021 at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has taken time to rework his sound and fine-tune his craft.

Ghanaian rapper Kweku Smoke maintains the hedonistic and boisterous persona he first unleashed on 2020’s Snoop Forever across his sophomore solo project, the six-track EP Big Shmoke.
