Talented Nigerian singer-songwriter Lojay has maintained his stance ever since he first came to prominence. He has been able to uphold the level he set out with while progressively advancing to the top echelon of African music.

With the release of the song “Leader,” the follow-up single to his massive record “Monalisa,” Lojay made his headline account for the year. Following closely on from the song “Leader,” Lojay collaborates on the song “Canada” with South African Amapiano pioneers DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, together known as Scorpion Kings.

Lojay’s ‘Canada,’ featuring two of South Africa’s biggest music powerhouses, is an incredible song to end the year with.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Teni has released a new song following her recent performance at The COLORS SHOW. Teni releases a new song titled ‘Maitama’ to continue the momentum gained by her performance

Along with Amapiano pioneers Costa Titch and Ch’cco, Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Mayorkun is featured in the Amapiano-inspired tune.

Mid-tempo yet nevertheless exhilarating, “Maitama” will have you dancing your problems away.

Ruger has been on an excellent run ever since he released his debut extended play Pandemic back in 2021. The Jonzing World singer moves flawlessly to his distinct kind of music. His second EP, The Second Wave, and its deluxe edition further solidified his position in the music business, and he hasn’t looked back since. Ruger has released two new singles today called Red Flags and Asiwaju to continue his remarkable run.

One of the two tracks Ruger has released is Asiwaju. Ruger is all about himself on the Kukbeats-produced song, and he is sure that he is better than his contemporaries. “I’m ahead of them Asiwaju, I’m fxcking baller iga lo ni mi,” was spoken in this context.

Ruger presents himself as the toxic-sweet guy that every female fancies on Red Flags. In the TSB and Adam Lunn-produced song, he sings, “You noticed the red flags baby but you ignore the red flags, baby you come dey vex, I cannot change baby you better rest.”

After teasing her first EP since her 2016 debut ‘Afraba’ with the singles ‘In The Clouds’ and ‘Circus,’ Adomaa has finally released her new 7-track EP ‘Becoming Adomaa.’ The project takes us on a deep dive through her journey as an artist, from the days of her youtube mashups and the success that brought, to her painful hiatus and now eventual comeback to music.

The music is a blend of alternative genres that showcase her vocal ability and growth as a singer, as well as her flair for the theatrical, with lyrics that are introspective and metaphorical, affirming her identity as a storyteller and actor.

While there are no features on Becoming Adomaa, this is her most collaborative project yet, with input from various talents such as artist-producer Reynolds The Gentleman, her genius engineer-arranger brother Tronomie, and the incredible singer-songwriter David Addo Gyan, to mention a few.

Like the last song on the EP says, Adomaa is beginning again and wants her listeners to come along with her on this journey:

“This time I do it on my terms, my way. No more trying to do everything under the sun to make another hit. I’m not a mainstream artist, I never was. I’m Jazz, I’m Soul, I’m Blues, I’m R&B, I’m Gospel, all mixed with my African elements and sonic influences. I’m Adomaa. It’s time to make the music I should’ve been making from the very start.”

Over the past few years, South African and Nigerian musical collaborations have produced some incredible songs. These two powerful nations’ friendship has been strengthened via music.

‘Laleyi,’ a single by South African artist Master KG and Nigerian Afrobeat star Joeboy, is the most recent South African and Nigerian collaboration to make waves on the music scene.

The two seasoned composers’ voices blend perfectly in “Laleyi,” which is supported by a stunning Kgaogelo Moagi production.

For his most recent release, the talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer Kuami Eugene along with Group Chat has partnered with American record company EMPIRE. The record company EMPIRE, which has played a significant role in the recent successes of African talents like Black Sherif, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy DML, and others, is aiming to produce another dance floor filler.

Kuami Eugene, who recently joined EMPIRE, has already put out a song from the label titled “Single” that is doing exceptionally well on radio, the internet, and television.

Kuami Eugene has been featured as a contributing artist for EMPIRE’s all-star studio album, “Where We Come From Vol.1,” and here he is with “I Feel Nice” featuring Group Chat.

Kizz Daniel and Wande Coal have both been included in the project thus far, contributing the songs Odo and Umbrella, respectively.

British-Ghanaian Afrobeat artist Eugy caps off the year on a high note. For his new single, “Medicine,” the gifted artist invites two of Nigeria’s music superstars, Ladipoe and Maleek Berry.

‘Medicine’ is Eugy’s fifth single of 2022 and a follow-up to his previous release ‘No Other.’

Trailblazing Nigerian singer-songwriter Tim Lyre presents melancholic and yearnful new afrobeats single ‘Confess’, arguably his most accomplished work to date.

Previously, DJ Tunez and Wande Coal worked together to create super hits like Iskaba and Bad Girl. The superstars have teamed up once more on “Flex,” and the outcome is awesome.
