In other news, famous Nigerian author Reno Omokri has gotten on the nerves of tweeps after he shared a fresh nugget concerning requests people make from God.

According to Reno, the act of asking God for money is pointless. He backed his reasons with some instances from Bible.

He claimed that God is above money and money is just like any physical substance that exists on earth. He stated emphatically that Jesus Christ never touched money and Judas was always the carrier of His money.

Reno believes the only thing Christians can afford to request from God is wisdom and that’s the only thing that exists in heaven. He urged Christians to ask God for wisdom when they go on their knees to pray so that they can transform their wisdom into money.

Taking to the microblogging platform, he wrote;

Asking God for money is futile. Money only exists on Earth. God is above money! Even Christ never used His Hand to touch money. Judas held His money for Him. What exists in heaven is wisdom. So, ask God for wisdom. Then convert wisdom into ideas that produce money

Again, he added that there is nowhere in the Bible where Christ touched the money. Reno, quoting a scripture from the Holy Book, said that Jesus asked the Pharisees to show him a denarius and never asked them to give it to them.

God is not interested in our money, but our time, Reno concluded.

If you read Scripture from cover to cover, you never find even one instance where Christ physically touched money. In Luke 20:24, He told the Pharisees “show me a denarius”. He did not ask them to ‘give me a denarius’. God is interested in our time, not out money!
