In Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, a little child who was labelled a witch and dumped on the streets has been rescued.

A woman from the State Ministry of Justice picked up the boy, according to Danish charity worker Anja Ringgren Lovén.

On Saturday, June 11, an optician, Benjamin Omin Itu, announced the development and released images of the youngster with serious scars all over his body.

“The abandoned child who was branded witch has been rescued. We fight against child abandonment because it’s a crime.” he said.
