A woman put her boyfriend in an awkward position when she refused to accept his proposal and rubbed salt into his wounds by walking away and leaving him hugely embarrassed.
The video which was shared on Instagram by Instablog9ja, captured the man on his knees as he readied to initiate the ancient love ritual but his woman was not ready for that.
She refused to accept his proposal and in the next seconds, she left the scene while other shoppers watched in disbelief.
The young man started crying and was helped to his feet by sympathizers who also offered him words of encouragement.
