‘How 30 Terrorists Who Attacked Guards Brigade Officers Were Killed’ – DHQ

According to the Defence Headquarters, 30 of the terrorists who on Sunday brutally killed members of the Guards Brigade in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) neighborhood of Bwari have been slain.

According to Maj.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, director of defence media operations, the terrorists were destroyed in an operation carried out by members of the 167 Special Force Battalion and 7 Guards Battalion between Sunday and Tuesday in conjunction with “Operation Whirl Punch,” the air component.

According to Onyeuko, the military successfully swept the villages of Kawu and Ido, neutralizing the terrorists and demolishing their hideout.

He claims that during the mob up, the ground soldiers also found six motorcycles, two AK-47 guns, and one fully loaded LMG magazine.

“The hierarchy of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies wishes to re-assured Nigerians of its commitment and pact with all Nigerians.

“People should go about their normal business as their safety is guaranteed.

“The support and cooperation of all Nigerians is hereby solicited as security is everybody’s business. Citizens are encouraged to report any unusual persons in your community to security agencies. If you see something say something,’’ he said.

Maj.-Gen. Jimmy Akpor, the director of defense information, asked the media to help the military in its efforts to thwart the nation’s enemies.
