Car Wash Attendant Arrested For Stealing And Selling His Boss’ Car And Tried Using The Proceeds To Seek Greener Pastures Overseas

Temple Samuel, a 21-year-old car wash attendant has been reportedly arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for attempting to leave the country after stealing and selling his boss’ car.

According to reports, the suspect stole the car from Egbeda about midnight on Saturday before being apprehended in Ogba at around 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. Along with three other defendants who took part in the car’s sale scheme, he was detained.

Temple stole one iPhone X and one iPhone 13, in addition to the car, and then transferred N75,000 from his boss’ bank account. At the time they were discussing the purchase of the Lexus ES 330 automobile with him, his conspirators were detained. The conspirators were Joshua Agboche, 37, Chukwuemeka Okorie, 29, and Benjamin Bassey, 32.

When questioned, Temple, who was the boss’s car wash attendant, admitted that he had been toying with the notion of utilizing the money from the sale of the vehicle for his trip abroad for a few weeks.

He claimed that when his boss was sleeping on Saturday at 12 a.m., he drove the vehicle from Egbeda to his friend Bassey’s house in Ikeja. He was supposed to meet the other buyers on Sunday after they arrived at Ogba when they were apprehended by the authorities.
