The young sensational musician, Asake broke out in the industry with the release of his 2020 single, ‘Lady’. He gained mainstream attention after joining Olamide’s YBNL Nation Records, Olamide.

Who Is Asake?

Asake is multifaceted Nigerian singer, songwriter, entertainer and performing artiste with a unique approach to making music. Asake’s blends Afropop, Amapiano, Afro-R&B and Fuji to produce, anthem-like melodies and is known for jams such as, ‘Sungba’, ‘Peace Be Unto You’, ‘Terminator’, ‘Organize’, ‘Joha’, just to mention a few.

Asake’s Age & Parents

Asake, officially known as Ahmed Ololade Asake was born on Friday January 13, 1995 in Lagos. His parents are Muslims who hail from the South-Western part of Nigeria. His father happens to be a Lagos-based businessman while his mother works as a teacher. In 2022, became 27 years.

Asake’s Career

Asake’s kicked off his career in high school as a dancer who specialized in cultural dance. He was also a drummer and a member of his high school’s musical band.

In 2015, he started music professionally as a backup for renowned skit-maker and entertainer, Broda Shaggi. They teamed up in 2019 on a masterpiece dubbed; ‘Star’ but gained recognition in 2022 after the release of Blaque Beats produced tune, ‘Lady’ which was reposted by Tunde Ednut, Broda Shaggi and Sydney Talker.

In 2022, Asake dropped another tune named; ‘Mr. Money’ which also gained massive attention hence bagging him a remix with Zlatan and Peruzzi. The song earned him the nickname, ‘Mr Money’. Despite the song’s success, Asake’s other tune, ‘Omo Ope’ shot him into the limelight.

In an interview, Asake discloed that, Yhemolee had played one of his songs to Olamide, he was later invited to Olamide’s house and asked if he would like to join the YBNL family. Asake was unveiled as the latest signee of Olamide’s YBNL Nation on February 8, 2022 and did a remix of the song,’Omo Pe’.

Asake’s EP & Album

Asake in February 2022 released his maiden EP, ‘Ololade’. The self titled project featured his breakthrough song “Omo Ope” featuring Olamide and ‘Sungba’ which later bagged a remixed with top Nigerian artist, Burna Boy.

In July 2022, the YBNL Nation act sign a distribution deal with Empire. He followed up with his debut album, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ which was published on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

The 12-tracked album houses hit singles like, ‘Terminator’, ‘Peace Be Unto You’ and ‘Sungba Remix’ with Burna Boy”. The chart topping project has received positive reviews and comments from fans in Nigeria as well as across the globe and also to breaking several records.

Asake’s Education

According to reports, Asake is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state. where he studied Theatre & Performing Arts
