Multiple award winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy deviated from his usual dope conscious and motivational lyrics to singing in a gibberish language on his new Putuu Freestyle.

The gibberish lyrics in the new song has brought about a lot of criticism to the dancehall artiste, with many accusing him of imitating Patapaa.

This criticism and backlash has forced the “Nominate” hitmaker to come out and explain why he deviated from real dancehall and afrobeat to “asorkor”.

Taken to his Twitter page, Stonebwoy explained that Putuu is just a freestle and a street hit meant for all walks of people. Adding that the tongues he sang, excluding the hook and the chorus are well understood in Papua New Guinea.

“Putuu is Just a Freestyle, For All You Know half of the tongues I sang excluding the chorus and Hook.. (Pray) is well understood in Papua New Guinea ???! It’s a street Hit Meant for all Walks of people.. Let’s Pray and Exhale corona has caused us so much!! #MillionStyles” – he tweeted.

Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse, Mrs. Theresa Ayoade has revealed that her outfit is yet to make a formal decision about Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s VGMA ban.

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were banned indefinitely from the VGMAs for their involvement in the onstage altercation at the 2019 awards ceremony.

Since then, both artistes have reconciled and ended their long-standing feud. Their reconciliation has led to numerous calls from fans and fellow artistes for their indefinite bans to be overturned.

Responding to these calls, Mrs. Theresa Ayoade has disclosed that the board members of Charterhouse haven’t taken any decision on the matter yet.

She assured that if any decision is taken, it will be communicated to the public when they come out with a full statement about the 2020 VGMAs.

“We haven’t had an internal conversation around that yet. When we are ready to make full announcement on the VGMA’s, we will come up with a full statement on everything,”she said.

Mr. Drew’s new song titled “Eat” which features dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has been blocked on YouTube due to copyright infringement.

The song released on May 22nd covers American singer, Rotimi’s “Love Riddim” which was also released in May 2019.

Apparently, Mr. Drew and his management didn’t sought permission from the Nigerian born American singer before releasing the cover.

Due to this, YouTube has blocked the song and it’s video from their platforms after Rotimi’s record label “Empire” reported it for copyright infringement.

The music video had over 140,000 views along with thousands of likes and comments.

Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeat star, Stonebwoy born Livingstone Etse Satekla has dropped an inspirational music video for his highly acclaimed “Le Gba Gbe song.

On April 24, 2020, Stonebwoy dropped his highly anticipated “Anloga Junction” album that joins dancehall, high-life and afrobeats to spread messages of love and unity.

The dancehall icon has dropped the visuals for one of the album’s standouts, “Le Gba Gbe (Alive)” which was sang in the artist’s native tongue of Ewe.

At the video’s beginning, Stonebwoy witnesses a massacre which is meant to symbolize the constraint that society puts on its people.

Speaking on the newly released video, Stonebwoy explained that the visuals means a lot to him hence why he filmed it in his hometown – Anloga.

“The visuals to this spiritual song means a lot to me and that’s why I was filmed at my ancestral place, It carries the important message of staying true to one’s roots.” – he said.
