Nollywood Veteran and comic-star, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu has finally opened up about his daughter’s decision to marry a man she met on TikTok.
Mr. Ibu’s daughter, Jasmine, recently uploaded a love-filled video with her abroad-based fiance, admitting that they met on the video-sharing app TikTok.
She also indicated that they’ll be marrying soon, noting that a good man won’t waste a woman’s time.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, the veteran actor reacted to this by saying:
“She is not my biological daughter but I trained her. She calls me daddy and I call her daughter. I am okay with it (her getting married). I have been praying for them and I will keep on doing that.
“Man and woman got to know each other one day. It is a gradual process. However, I don’t want to see tears.
Meanwhile, Nigerian actor cum politician, Desmond Elliot has recounted how he assisted in the release of 15 protesters detained during the #EndSARS movement that swept the country in 2020.
While speaking as a guest on TVC’s Your View chat show, the Lagos state lawmaker representing Surulere 1 made his views known.
Elliot claims to have been one of the first backers of the #EndSARS protest.
Elliot was responding to criticism he received during the protest when he made statements in the Assembly chambers about social media regulation.
He said; “From the state house of assembly, when the whole thing started, I was one of the first people to say, ‘listen government, listen to the people,’ and the people agreed.
