Nollywood Would Make 50 Oscar-Worthy Movies If Industry Players Give As Much Time As They Spend Gossiping

Nigerian writer, filmmaker and producer Jade Osiberu has made some assertions targetting Nollywood which has triggered reactions.

Filmmaker, Jade Osiberu, said that Nollywood would make Oscar-worthy movies year-round if the industry players dissipate their energy and time into their work instead of gossiping.

She stated this on her Twitter handle

”The gossip mill in Nollywood works overtime Mehn. We would probably be making 50 Oscar-worthy films a year if people expended the same energy on their work.”she wrote

In other news, those expressing concern over the beauty contest hosted in prison, according to Mo’Cheddah, have no idea about how the prison system works.

She explained that there are a lot of activities being held in prison all round year. She stated that social events such as beauty contests are held, and that staff are paid while working there.

She stated that she is not condoning criminality, but rather relaying the truth about what occurs in prisons.
