Following alleged ridicule of Funke Akindele’s failed marriage, Apostle Suleman, the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has addressed the issue.

The preacher made a remark after the news of the legendary actress’ marriage breaking up, which many people found offensive.

Apostle Suleman used the microblogging site Twitter to confront people about their breakup experiences.

The man of God, however, received criticism for deliberately making fun of Funke Akindele and her spouse JJC Skillz, therefore the statement did not sit well with many.

In an effort to address the issue, Apostle Suleman said that the timing of his tweet was merely a coincidence.

“Someone just called my attention to the ‘break up’ tweet..
It has nothing to do with anyone pls…I tweet random tweets, parables, jokes and comments PRAYERS.
It must have been a coincidence..it’s a sin to mock people..
Disregard any insinuations..it was a joke and nothing else!” he wrote.
