Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Edem returns from hiatus with his first 2022 release. While most of his listeners and fans seemed starved for months, Edem’s latest single is worth the wait.
Titled ‘Ma Cherie’, Edem connects with French Musician on this genre-bending masterpiece which incorporates Afrobeats, Rap, Anglophone, and Francophone.
The smooth French and English flow on ‘Ma Cherie’ is one that any good music lover in any French and English country will love.
As a celebrated Rap artist in the highly dominated Afrobeats era, a smooth amalgamation of Rap and Afrobeats beautifully delivered in diverse languages is what ‘Ma Cherie’ encompasses.
While all projects by Edem mean a lot to him, Ma Cherie is particularly personal to Edem as it is a quick trip down his French background from Aflao.
Edem commented that:
“I feel excited to give new music and new material with a new video after a while. The song will touch on the two sides of me, my Anglophone and Francophone side and the feature is definitely one everyone should look out for.”
