At the time of this writing, he played as a center-back or defensive midfielder for the English Premier League club, Liverpool.
Stefan Bajcetic was a product of the Celta Vigo youth academy and was signed by Liverpool in December 2020. Due to his progress, he was rewarded with a new contract in August 2022.
He made his professional debut on August 27, coming on as a substitute in a 9–0 home victory over AFC Bournemouth.
Bajcetic made his UEFA Champions League debut against Ajax on 13 September as a substitute becoming Liverpool’s youngest-ever player in the Champions League, a record previously held by Billy Koumetio.
On November 9, 2022, Bajcetic started his first game for Liverpool, in the home win against Derby County in the third round of the 2022–23 EFL Cup.
On December 26, he scored his first senior goal for Liverpool in their 3–1 victory away to Aston Villa in the 2022–23 Premier League as a 79th-minute substitute.
At the age of 18 years, 2 months, and 4 days, he became the third youngest player to score for Liverpool in the Premier League, behind Michael Owen and Raheem Sterling.
Stefan Bajcetic happens to be the second youngest Spanish player to score in the Premier League, behind Cesc Fabregas.
In January 2023, Bajcetic’s progress was rewarded with a new long-term contract at Anfield. In February, he was voted January’s Player of the Month by fans.
Bajcetic is eligible to represent Spain and Serbia at the international level. He’s a youth international for Spain, having played for the Spain U18s in 2021 and Spain U19s in 2022.
In March 2023, Stefan Bajcetic hit major headlines when it was announced that, he will be out for the rest of the 2022/2023 season due to a thigh injury.
Stefan Bajcetic suffered an adductor problem in training and was ruled out of Wednesday, March 15th Champions League defeat by Real Madrid.

“But I understand this is part of football and will only make me stronger physically and mentally.
