Blackface, a Nigerian singer and former member of the defunct Plantashun Boiz, has accused Afrobeats giants, Burna Boy and Wizkid of sampling his song to make a hit record.
The Nigerian singer claims that they (Burna Boy, Wizkid) sampled his song titled ‘Twist and Turn’ while recording ‘Ginger’ without giving him credit. The hit single ‘Ginger’ was released in 2020 off Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album.

Furthermore, the dancehall artiste took to his Twitter page to make the accusation on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Also, in another tweet on Tuesday, Blackface shares an audio-visual snippet of what is reportedly the original demo of the song as evidence.

Blackface added that Wizkid and Burna Boy ought to have asked for permission before sampling his music. Though he called them out publicly, the singer, however urged both artistes to contact him privately.
In similar events, a rapper named 60wrap$$ also called out popular musician, Kizz Daniel, for allegedly stealing his song. The upcoming artiste claimed that Kizz Daniel’s new hit, ‘Cough (Odo)’ was from his own song also titled ‘Odo’.
In a video, he posted online, the singer samples both his version of ‘Odo’ and the Mama crooner’s version as he points out the similarities. 60wrap$$ said he released his own first, but Kizz Daniel copied the lyrics and twisted it to sound a bit different so that he would throw people off.
He, however, mentioned not to cause any trouble until after he releases the video for his single.
