Aliko Dangote Tops Forbes List Of African Richest Men in 2022

American business magazine, Forbes has released it’s annual world’s billionaires list ranking the richest personalities across the world for 2022.

Renowned Nigerian business mogul, Aliko Dangote made it to number 150 richest men in the world, which eventually makes him the first richest African on the list with an estimated amount of $14 billion sourced from cement and sugar production.

Mike Adenuga, CEO of Globacom, Nigeria’s second-largest telecom operator with an estimated earnings of $7.3 billion was listed at number 324 on the list with revenue sourced from telecom and oil. The next African on the list is Abdulsamad Rabiu, he was also listed at number 350 with an estimated earnings of $6.9 billion sourced from cement and sugar production.

However, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk tops the list the richest people in the world with an estimated worth of $279 billion. Forbes is an American business magazine owned by Integrated Whale Media Investments and the Forbes family.

In Other News; Top Nigerian musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly called Wizkid has finally reacted to his double loss at the 2022 edition of the Grammy Awards.

Wizkid’s album, ‘Made In Lagos’ was nominated for the Best Global Music Album category but lost to legendary musician, Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Mother Nature’ album. ‘Essence’ also lost the Best Global Music Performance to Arooj Aftab’s ‘Mohabbat’.

Reacting to the loss, the multiple award winning act took to his official Instagram page to send a congratulatory messages to Angelique Kidjo and Black Coffee for their Grammy wins.

Angelique Kidjo won a Grammy for the Best Global Music Album, whiles South African DJ, Black Coffee also bagged an award for the best dance/electronic album category, becoming the first African DJ to win a Grammy Award
